The Art of Writing A Legacy Letter - a workshop
WRITE A LETTER TO THOSE YOU LOVE MOST
During this hour-long pre-recorded masterclass, you’ll learn how to write a letter sharing your wisdom, advice and appreciation to those you love most in the world.
These two hours will be some of the most valuable you’ll spend this year.
A legacy letter is a truly priceless gift - one that money can’t buy. It will be treasured by your loved ones for years to come.
WHAT IS A LEGACY LETTER?
Legacy letters are a way to communicate your values, life stories and blessings to your loved ones. They’re much less time-consuming to write than a full-length autobiography - although you may well find that once you start writing, you want to keep going!
The format is entirely flexible and can be adapted to fit a variety of different scenarios, for example:
Ethical Wills
Legacy letters can act as an ‘ethical will’. Write it, then tuck it away in a drawer to be opened when you pass away (hopefully, many years in the future). You can of course update your letter as time goes on. You might also prefer to send your letter straight away - and bask in the joy it brings to the recipient!
Celebrations
Legacy letters are also a marvellous way to mark a momentous life event: a child’s wedding day, the birth of a grandchild, a niece’s graduation, a best friend’s big birthday or your parents’ Golden Wedding.
A heartfelt letter expressing your love and appreciation for the recipient is is one of the most precious gifts you can give - something they’ll always treasure. It’s a chance to reminisce about the adventures you’ve had together. Share your good wishes for the future. Say ‘thank you’ for all they’ve done for you. Express your admiration for the wonderful person they’ve become.
A legacy letter is also an opportunity to share some of the lessons and stories that were handed down to you by your parents or grandparents, ensuring their legacy passes down through the generations.
